Something old, nothing new, something borrowed and something blue

About me!
I am an almost 50 year old Mum of two gorgeous (very tall) boys and with my beautiful golden walking buddy (our golden retriever), a slightly haughty fluffy cat and a very patient and lovely husband, live life to the full in deepest Cheshire.

Why?
My younger son was diagnosed in January 2016 with Type 1 Diabetes. A day that will be forever etched on our memory. Though it has not stopped him from doing anything, particularly his beloved rugby.

I have set myself a challenge before my big birthday in 2018 which is to not buy any new clothes or shoes for a year. My aim is to raise lots and lots of money for JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

How will I raise the money?
Firstly I will give a donation every time I save from not buying an item of clothing and will put it directly to my JDRF Just Giving page. So for example, that gorgeous pair of shoes I was tempted by in Liverpool on my first day of the challenge, I will donate £50.

In addition, I will ask each of my friends undertaking the month-long challenge with me to make a donation.

Let's not forget that my lovely partner in crime, Sam is also raising money for JDRF as well the fabulous children's hospital Alder Hey for each month of her challenge!

And you can help too! If you really think that I can do this, show your support by making a donation!

Thanks!
